We believe that most workers in maintenance and production recognize the stress when they are told that the spare part they need in the event of a breakdown has a delivery time of several weeks from the supplier. Having a production facility that is idle for days or weeks means enormous losses! Anyone who had production operations during the pandemic also knows that delivery times increased radically, which created even greater risks.
Imagine if you had known that one or more nearby companies had exactly the requested spare part lying in storage. If you had been able to buy or borrow this spare part directly from another industrial company, it could have saved the company tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of kronor in the form of overtime, unused man-time, lost production time and perhaps even the risk of losing customers.
Most companies have no other conditions than to “look after their own house” and purchase the insurance spare parts needed to secure their own production. This means that millions of kronor are spent on stocking spare parts. Some parts may not even be used during the equipment's lifespan, but the consequences of being without them in the event of an unforeseen event are far too great.
What if you could have joined forces with a number of companies and shared the burden of purchasing and warehousing?
It was these scenarios and thoughts that gave the idea to create a spare parts network for Swedish industries.
